AI Visibility Prompt Generator
This AI visibility prompt generator builds the exact questions to ask ChatGPT, Gemini, and Perplexity to see if they recommend your brand. Enter your brand, category, and competitors, then run the prompts and note where you show up. Free, runs in your browser.
How to test if AI recommends your brand
The mistake is searching your own name. Of course ChatGPT knows who you are when you ask about you. The real test is the question a buyer asks: "best [category]," "[you] vs [a competitor]," "alternatives to [a competitor]." If you are not in those answers, you are invisible at the moment people decide. This tool builds that prompt set in seconds.
What the results mean
For each prompt, note one of three outcomes: named (you are recommended), mentioned (you appear but are not the pick), or absent. A healthy pattern wins category and comparison prompts, not just branded ones. If you only show up when someone already knows your name, you are missing the buyers who do not.
One check is not a measurement
AI answers are non-deterministic, so a single run is noise. Sample each prompt a few times, across engines, to see the pattern. The rigorous version, a fixed prompt set sampled repeatedly into a share-of-voice number, is what real measurement looks like. And when you find gaps, the fix is in how to get recommended by AI.
AI visibility prompts: FAQ
- How do I check if ChatGPT mentions my brand?
- Ask it the questions your buyers ask. Instead of searching your own name, ask ChatGPT to recommend the best option in your category, for example 'best HR software in the Philippines.' If your brand is not in the answer, you are invisible for that question. This tool builds those exact prompts for you.
- What prompts should I test?
- Four kinds: category prompts ('best X in Y'), comparison prompts ('your brand vs a competitor'), alternatives prompts ('alternatives to a competitor'), and branded prompts ('is your brand any good'). Together they show where you win, where you are merely mentioned, and where a competitor takes the recommendation.
- My brand isn't showing up. What now?
- That is the common and fixable case. It almost always comes down to three things: the engines cannot read your site, your pages are not written to be quoted, or nothing on the wider web corroborates you. Fix those and you start showing up. A free audit will tell you exactly which one is holding you back.
- Why do I get different answers each time?
- AI answers are non-deterministic. Ask the same question twice and you can get two different lists, and a different account or location shifts it again. So one check is noise. Run each prompt a few times, across engines, to see a real pattern.
- Is one check enough?
- No. To measure your real share of voice you need to sample many prompts, repeatedly, across ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity, and the others. This tool is for a quick gut check. The full, rigorous version is what we run in a paid engagement.
